This virus is linked to cervical and many other types of cancer.<\/p>\n<h3>Who needs this vaccine?<\/h3>\n<p>HPV vaccination is routinely recommended for children at age 11 or 12, but it can be started as early as age 9. Catch-up vaccination is recommended for people through age 26 who were not adequately vaccinated when younger.
