In addition to convenient locations, Walgreens has many digital tools to help our members manage medication and easily refill prescriptions.<\/p>\n<p>We offer two convenient ways for our members to receive their prescriptions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Mail Service:<\/strong> Available to members for up to a 90-day supply of approved medications<\/li>\n<li><strong>Retail pharmacy pick-up:<\/strong> Fill and pick up your prescriptions at any of our network pharmacies nationwide without having to submit a claim. Through our retail pharmacy network, you can fill a 30-day supply of your everyday medications, or a 90-day supply of medications for a chronic condition, for the same copay as mail service.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Search for local Walgreens pharmacies that are in the USFHP pharmacy network by visiting the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.caremark.com\/wps\/portal\/.cmd\/el?id=jn1hp2kn_2&amp;cmxtarget=FRAMED_LOCAL_PHARMACY&amp;newLogin=yes&amp;returnURL=http:\/\/www.caremark.com\/framedLogoff.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Caremark Pharmacy Locator<\/a> and entering your ZIP code, city and state, or county and state.<\/p>\n<p>Please note that the USFHP pharmacy network is limited to Walgreens pharmacies. Some Walgreens-owned pharmacies on this site may still be listed as Rite Aid. Please check with the pharmacy that it is a Walgreens-owned pharmacy.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=&#8221;Prescription drug coverage&#8221; tab_id=&#8221;prescription-drug-coverage&#8221;][vc_column_text]Johns Hopkins USFHP utilizes the TRICARE pharmacy formulary. The formulary lists all of the prescription drugs that are covered under the TRICARE benefit. It is a tiered, open formulary, and includes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Generic drugs (Tier 1)<\/li>\n<li>Preferred brand drugs (Tier 2)<\/li>\n<li>Non-preferred brand drugs (Tier 3)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Each of these tiers represents a cost share that USFHP members are responsible for paying.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"button\" href=\"https:\/\/www.express-scripts.com\/frontend\/open-enrollment\/tricare\/fst\/#\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">See if a specific drug is covered and its cost share<\/a>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=&#8221;Other covered medication&#8221; tab_id=&#8221;other-covered-medication&#8221;][vc_column_text]Our pharmacy program provides outpatient coverage to members for medications that are approved for marketing by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and that generally require prescriptions. Other covered medications include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Compounded medications of which at least one ingredient is a legend drug<\/li>\n<li>Insulin<\/li>\n<li>Insulin syringes and needles<\/li>\n<li>Glucose test strips<\/li>\n<li>Lancets<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=&#8221;Non-covered medications&#8221; tab_id=&#8221;non-covered-medications&#8221;][vc_column_text]Prescription medications that are used to treat conditions not currently covered by USFHP by statute or regulation are excluded from the pharmacy benefit. Excluded medications include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Drugs prescribed for cosmetic purposes<\/li>\n<li>Fluoride preparations<\/li>\n<li>Food supplements<\/li>\n<li>Homeopathic and herbal preparations<\/li>\n<li>Multivitamins<\/li>\n<li>Over-the-counter products (except insulin, diabetic supplies, and select OTC products)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=&#8221;Copayments&#8221; tab_id=&#8221;copayments&#8221;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]Copayments for prescription drugs may vary depending on the type of drug and its day-supply.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prescription drugs that are picked up at a retail network pharmacy for up to a 30-day supply:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>$16 for generic drugs<\/li>\n<li>$48 for brand name drugs<\/li>\n<li>$85 for non-formulary drugs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Mail Service of a prescription drug for up to a 90-day supply (maintenance medications only):<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>$14 for generic drugs<\/li>\n<li>$44 for brand name drugs<\/li>\n<li>$85 for non-formulary drugs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You can view the cost share for a medication using the TRICARE formulary search tool.
