Your PCM gets to know you and your health needs, treats common problems, teaches you how to keep yourself as healthy as possible, and refers you to specialists if needed.<\/p>\n<p>You can use our provider search tool to find a PCM as well as a specialist or a facility.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 1:<\/strong>\u00a0From our <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/sandbox0.foxtrotdev.com\/\">Home<\/a><\/strong> page, hover over the \u201cI\u2019m a Member\u201d tab and click on \u201c<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/sandbox0.foxtrotdev.com\/members\/my-benefits\/find-a-doctor-or-facility\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Find a Doctor or Facility<\/a><\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 2:<\/strong>\u00a0Click the \u201cFind a Doctor or Facility\u201d button. This will open the Provider Search Tool.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 3:<\/strong> <em>If you would like to search for a specific provider<\/em>, type their name into the \u201cAlready have a doctor\/clinic in mind?\u201d box. As you type, possible matches will appear under the box. If you see the provider you are looking for, you can click on their name. To see the full list of matches, click the \u201cSearch\u201d button.<\/p>\n<p><em>If you do not have a provider in mind,<\/em> you can search based on location.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In the \u201cLocation\u201d section, type in your home ZIP code (or the ZIP code of where you want to get care).<\/li>\n<li>Use the drop-down selection to choose the farthest distance you would want to travel to see your provider.<\/li>\n<li>To see all providers in your state, simply use the drop-down selection to choose the state you want to search.<\/li>\n<li>In the \u201cSearch in my network\u201d section, use the tick-boxes to select the type of service you are seeking. You may select more than one service type. For a PCM, choose \u201cPrimary Care.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Click the \u201cSearch\u201d button.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you search by ZIP code, the results are sorted by closest distances first. If you search the entire state, your results are sorted alphabetically. You can choose other ways to sort the results from the \u201cSort by\u201d box under \u201cSearch Tools.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>After you click \u201cSearch,\u201d a new page will open that will allow you to narrow your search.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 4:<\/strong>\u00a0If you want to improve your search, type in the provider\u2019s name, ID or specialty in the Refine Results box. You can also use the drop-down selection bars on the right to narrow your search results to search providers by specialty, network, hospital affiliation, medical group, language spoken or gender.<\/p>\n<p>To search for a Vision specialty provider, search under the provider&#8217;s specialty (for example, Optometry or Ophthalmology).<\/p>\n<p>To make sure that the provider is accepting new patients, click the box on the right. Then click \u201cSearch\u201d to refresh the list with only those providers.<\/p>\n<p>You can also do a location search based on your full address to know exactly how far a provider is from your home or work. Type your address in the \u201cMy Address\u201d section at the bottom of the right-hand menu.<\/p>\n<p><strong>NOTE:<\/strong> If it\u2019s a PCM that you\u2019re looking for, you must let Johns Hopkins USFHP know which doctor you have selected.
